Tools for audit in General Practice

The authors of the ASPIRE toolkit have decided to make this package freely available to General Practices in England.  They will retain ownership of the package and also the associated intellectual property rights.  The basic package can now be downloaded from this site.  At present it comes with two query sets by way of demonstration, one looking at rates of 'flu' jabs in 'at risk' groups and the other looking at left ventricular failure.  More may be added in due course.

The query set dealing with left ventricular failure is set out to provide the kind of information that we think will help practices to meet the requirements of the new GP contract Quality and Outcomes Framework.  We have developed a whole library of similar queries covering all of the clinical indicators in the quality and outcomes framework.  These can be obtained by purchasing a license.  More information is provided below about what the query set does and how a licensed copy can be obtained.
